The #8-ranked Saints men's track and field team was the host of the WHAC Indoor Championships on Saturday (Feb. 22) in the Alksnis Athletic Building. #1 Indiana Tech was the other nationally ranked team to compete at the meet.

Aquinas placed second out of seven participating WHAC teams with 209 points. Indiana Tech won the WHAC Championship with 253.5 points while Siena Heights was third with 92 points.

AQ's 4x800 meter relay team of
Robert Morse,
Connor McGee,
Caleb Hodgkinson and
Matt MacGregor won the WHAC Championship with a time of 7:55.35. The team came from behind to defeat Indiana Tech who had a time of 7:58.51.

Grayson Harding was first and the WHAC Champion in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:33.15. He is #2 in the NAIA with a previous best of 2:28.24.
Ben Hylen was second with a finishing time of 2:37.31.

Gannon Foley was the WHAC Champion in the mile with a time of 4:18.71 to achieve an "A" standard. Harding placed second improving his "B" standard time by crossing the line in 4:20.07. Foley also placed third in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:53.06.

MacGregor also won the WHAC title in the 800 meters with a finishing time of 2:00.32.

Aaron Whaley is the WHAC Champion in the shot put with an "A" standard toss of 15.78 meters.
Evan Pugh placed fourth with a mark of 14.62 meters.

Zach Flint won the WHAC Championship in the pole vault with a height of 4.50 meters.

Isaiah Jackson improved his "B" standard time in the 60 meter hurdles crossing the line in 8.33 seconds in the final round. He had a preliminary time of 8.51 seconds. Jackson also came in fourth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.75 meters.

Pugh and
Collin Pollatz finished tied for third in the weight throw with a distance of 16.21 meters.

Matt Fosdick placed third in the 5000 meters with a finishing time of 15:51.29.
Â
Jama Jama came in third place in the 600 meters with a time of 1:26.33.
Tristan Milarch was fifth crossing the line in 1:26.68.

The 4x400 meter relay team of
Josh Young,
Cyrus Prudhomme,
Adam Bailey,
Will Haran crossed the line in 3:25.95 to place third.

Nate McKeown finished fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.96 meters.
Â
McGee and Morse came in third and fourth place in the 800 meters crossing the line in 2:00.63 and 2:01.30.

Clayton Jones placed fourth in the mile with a time of 4:28.21.

Jacob Mirandette (4.35 meters),
Jeremy Crist (4.35 meters) and
Joshua Kunst (4.20 meters) were third, fourth and fifth in the pole vault.

Young and Bailey finished fourth and fifth in the 400 meters with respective times of 51.11 seconds and 51.34 seconds.
Â
Ken Wojcik came in fifth place with a time of 2:41.01 in the 1000 meters.

After the meet,
Jacob Fair,
Ezra Faust,
Nathan Maurer,
Adam Pall, Foley, Fosdick, Harding, McGee, McKeown, Milarch and Morse were named to the WHAC All-Academic Meet.

Foley was also named the WHAC Champion of Character and Head Coach
Mike Wojciakowski was named the WHAC Champions of Character Coach of the Year.
