The men's tennis team took on crosstown rivals NCAA DII Davenport University yesterday, falling in a closely contested match, 4-3. The Saints are 0-3 to start the season.
The Saints and Panthers split the six singles match-ups, but the Panthers claimed the match by winning all three doubles competitions and the team doubles point. In individual action, the Saints dropped matches by
Joel Hancox,
Mariano Arroyo and
Max Goldbeck-Lowe in #1-3 singles, but won matches in #4-6 singles.
Nicholas Klak won 6-3, 2-6, 10-7,
Brandon McEachern was victorious 6-4, 7-6, and
John Elizalde came back from down one set to win 3-6, 6-1, 10-7.
Aquinas will close fall action on October 5th when they host Judson University.
