The women's tennis team visited crosstown rivals Davenport yesterday, but were unable to top their NCAA DII rivals, falling by a final of 5-2. The Saints are now 1-2 on the season.
The Panthers swept all three doubles matches to take the team doubles point, and took the first three singles matchups to take the match. The Saints earned victories in #5 and #6 singles singles before falling in #1 singles to make the score a 5-2 final.
Vanessa Heylmun won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 over Lillian Mouw in #5 singles, while
Sara Forletta came back from a first set loss to win a thrilling match in #6 singles 0-6, 6-1, 12-10.
Aquinas closes the fall schedule with a match against Judson on October 5th.
