The men's tennis team dropped their WHAC opener on Saturday but picked up a win on Sunday afternoon, falling to Indiana Tech but beating Holy Cross (IN). The Saints are now 2-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
On Saturday the Saints were defeated by Indiana Tech 5-2. The Warriors swept the three doubles matches and won four of six singles matchups. Earning wins for the Saints were
Nicholas Klak in #3 singles (6-2, 6-4) and
Austin Luker in #1 singles (1-6, 7-5, 7-5).
The next day the Saints traveled to South Bend to take on Holy Cross (IN), defeating their hosts 4-0. They claimed the doubles point by winning both completed matches.
Austin Luker and
Joel Hancox won in #1 doubles 6-3, while
Mariano Arroyo and
Max Goldbeck-Lowe won 6-1. Hancox won in #2 singles 6-2, 6-0,
Nicholas Klak won 6-0, 6-0 and
Brandon McEachern won 6-1, 6--1.
Aquinas is back in action this Friday in a WHAC showdown against UNOH.
