The women's tennis team split a pair of matches this weekend, losing their WHAC opener against Indiana Tech before rebounding with a road win over Holy Cross (IN).
On Saturday the Saints hosted Indiana Tech to open conference play, but fell to the Warriors 6-1.
Joska Volder had the lone Saints; win, claiming #1 singles 6-2, 1-6, 6-1.
The next day the Saints traveled south to South Bend, Indiana to take on Holy Cross (IN). The Saints swept their namesakes by a final of 4-0. Aquinas earned the doubles point by winning both the completed matches.
Sofia Gomez and
Vanessa Heylmun won 6-0, while
Bailey Chouinard and
Darci TerHaar also won 6-0. The Saints swept the three completed singles contests, with Chouinard, TerHaar and
Sara Forletta each claiming 6-0, 6-0 victories.
The Saints return to action this weekend when they take on UNOH in WHAC action.Â
