The Aquinas men's tennis team fell in the 2021 season opener on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 6), as the Saints dropped a 7-0 decision to NCAA Division II opponent Davenport. It was the opening match for each team in the 2021 campaign, competing at MVP Sportsplex.

With the result, Davenport is 1-0, while Aquinas falls to 0-1. The Saints doubles teams of Max Goldbeck-Lowe and Joel Hancox, Simon Uhlen and Nicholas Klak, and Mariano Arroyo and Michael Ha all dropped their doubles contests to Davenport's duos.

AQ also fell in singles, with Hancox (2-6, 6-7) and Uhlen (3-6, 6-7) putting up solid outings at #2 and #3 singles, respectively.

The Saints will host their official home opener next Saturday (Feb. 13), also at MVP Sportsplex. Aquinas will take on Indiana Wesleyan at 3:30 p.m.
