The Aquinas women's tennis team pulled out a 4-3 WHAC victory over Lawrence Tech on Sunday (Mar. 28) at the MVP Sportsplex. AQ split the six singles matchups and won the doubles point to capture the conference win.
 
With the victory, the Saints move to 2-4 on the season and 2-2 in WHAC action. AQ also won 7-0 over Lourdes on Mar. 12 in a home victory, making it two wins in the last three matches.
 
In doubles play, Aquinas automatically won #3 doubles due to a withdrawal, but also captured the other two wins to earn the point. 
Joska Volder and 
Sofia Gomez won 7-6 (7-5) at #1 singles, while 
Darci TerHaar and 
Kiara Berry earned a 6-1 victory at #2 doubles.
 
Gomez also won at #2 singles by a 6-2, 6-3 victory and Berry was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at #5 singles. The Saints received a default victory at #6 singles due to another withdrawal for LTU.
 
Aquinas will next head to Lima, Ohio on April 10th to take on UNOH at 2:00 p.m.
