Results from Olivet
East Grand Rapids, Mich. - The men's swim and dive team was busy this weekend with one meet at Saginaw Valley and one at home against Olivet College. The Saints had many in-season bests, personal bests, and school records over the two contests.

Beginning on Friday,
Conrad Eichbauer continued his hot streak in the 1650. Last week, the freshman went 18:31 in the event and this weekend he dropped to 18:17. He sets his new personal best and school record in the race.

Ethan Tennant continued to showcase his depth by setting the school record in the 200 butterfly with a 2:07 and besting the previous record by nearly 17 seconds. Tennant then joined
Ian Clapp,
Cesar Robles and
Matthew Dumbsky, in the 400-medley relay. The quartet set the new school record, finishing with a time of 3:42. Tennant adds the 200 butterfly and 400-medley relay to his collection of school records for a total of 5 records.
Luke Martin then stepped up in the 200 breaststrokes, chopping off 4 seconds from his previous school record to finish with a 2:15.71. This time places Martin in the top 16 in the nation in the event.
The final highlight from AQ comes from
Dylan Bietz, freshman sprinter, posted AQ's season-best 50 (22.50) and 100 freestyle (49.94).
AQ was bested by the Saginaw Valley Cardinals by a score of 186-38.
Then on Saturday, the Saints were able to compete in front of their home crowd for their one home event of the season.Â
Luke Martin continued his momentum from the previous day. Martin took both the 200 Yard IM and 100 Breaststroke with new school records. In the 100 Breast, Martin hit the NAIA Provisional Mark with a time of 59.57. He would join
Braden Augustine, Bietz, and Dumbisky later in the 200 Yard Free relay. The quartet won the race with a time of 1:30 and earned another school record.
Ian Clapp showed out in the 100 Yard Back with a time of 56.82 to win the event.
Bietz and Augustine went 1-2 in the 100 Yard Free. They finished with times of 50.30 and 51.92. AQ also went 1-2 in the 50 Free with Dumbsky and Bietz representing the Saints. AQ bested Olivet in the contest.Â

The Saints will be back in the pool next Saturday, October 29. The Saints will do battle against Alma at 1:00 PM.
