Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Saints honored their two seniors, Joshua Boothroyd and Julian Armendano, of the men's volleyball team today (Mar. 25) for all of their hard work and dedication to the program over their respective careers. Aquinas also played its last home match of the regular season today with another bout against the Saint Mary of the Woods (SMTW) Pomeroys.

AQ finished out its season and Senior Day strong with a 3-0 sweep over the visitors from Saint Mary of the Woods. The Saints won by set scores of 25-10, 25-20, and 25-17.

Both sides continued to go back and forth until the set was tied at 18. A kill from Armendano put the Saints back ahead on the ensuing point. AQ padded its lead with three straight blocks and an attacking error from the Pomeroys to give itself a 23-18 advantage.

Saint Mary of the Woods scored a couple of points, but kills from Carter Sabo and Armendano ended the set 25-20 in favor of Aquinas.

Similar to the second set, the third set started close with the two sides evenly splitting the first 18 points for a 9-9 score. A majority of AQ's first nine points came from Pomeroy errors.
