Fort Wayne, Ind. – AQ's tough road gauntlet continued this weekend with a match this afternoon (Mar. 30) against the No. 14-ranked Indiana Tech Warriors. The Saints put up a tough fight in the second and third sets, but the hosts ultimately came up victorious with a three-set victory.

The Warriors put the first set away quickly after an 11-point run put the hosts ahead 14-4. Connor Staats, Zachary Nosky, Noah Smith-Slosar, and Chase Gil all recorded kills, but IT took the opening set with an emphatic 25-10 score.

The second set was far more competitive as the two sides rallied back and forth with Indiana Tech holding a slim lead throughout the set. IT early a set-point opportunity with the score at 24-20. Aquinas nearly completed a comeback after a kill from Gil, a block from Gil and Staats, and a Staats kill gave AQ 23 points. However, Mason Milan ended the second set with a big kill to end AQ's late rally.

The Warriors followed that error with a bit of a run to begin to build a lead. AQ fought throughout the set, but the talented Warriors team ultimately completed the sweep with a 25-22 result.
