Allen Park, Mich. — The Aquinas College bowling teams competed at the Detroit Open, hosted by Lourdes University, on Saturday (January 25). Carley Blanchard delivered a standout performance, finishing 5th out of 134 bowlers in the Women's division. Meanwhile, Bradyn Curtis secured 14th place among 164 participants in the Men's division. As for the team standings, the AQ Women placed 9th out of 16 schools, while the Men's team finished 8th out of 15.
Head coach Harold Klukowski reflected on the challenges the teams faced, noting that the weather may have influenced individual performances. "Both our men's and women's teams started strong but lost their rhythm in transition, only to finish strong. Overall, we left a lot of pins out there, but with a short week of practice, those things happen. We will be back better for the Hoosier in a couple of weeks," Klukowski said.
