Wilmington, Del. — The Aquinas College men's rugby team continues to push for excellence as
Jacob Easterling was named to the 2024-2025 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) All-American List.
The NCR released this year's (2024-2025) 15s All-American List, as Aquinas's own, Easterling earned his spot within the starting 15 as the blindside flanker. This is the fourth year the NCR has announced an All-American List, marking the first time AQ has ever landed a Saint on the list. Not only is Easterling the first Saint to earn All-American recognition, in addition to being named part of the NCR All-Stars.
The Aquinas College men's rugby team stands midway through its fourth year, showing great promise for this young program as it earns its first All-American.
The NCR prides itself on creating high-performance programs and nurtures elite-level collegiate rugby athletes, supporting their growth on and off the pitch. By creating such an environment, the NCR hopes to foster growth to enhance student-athletes by providing quality coaching resources to support the program and the student-athletes journey to success.
Here is what Head Coach
Lance Hohaia had to share about Easterling, "Jacob has been a cornerstone of our program since day one and is one of our founding members. Over the past four years, he has grown tremendously, not just as an athlete, but as a person, and he continues to excel academically. We're incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished, both in helping this program grow and his selection as our first-ever All-American."
