Amy Jacobson

Amy Jacobson was named the head coach of the cheer program starting in the summer of 2016 after serving as the assistant coach for two seasons.

Jacobson cheered collegiately at Aquinas from 2009-2013 where she was part of the first team to qualify and compete at the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals in 2010, 2012, and 2013. After earning her undergraduate degree from Aquinas, Jacobson was recruited to Davenport University's cheer team and earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in 2014 while also competing to earn the team's second NCA National Championship. While at Davenport, Amy also competed on the university's first STUNT team and claimed a runner-up title at the national championship that spring.

Jacobson brings experience from NCA where she was part of the instructional staff and taught across the nation for two years. During her time as a staff instructor, Jacobson was named an Instructor In Charge and directed staff members, organized and managed camps, and led trainings. Prior to NCA Staff, Amy was part of the Michigan based cheerleading camp company, Victory Cheer as a staff member starting in 2010 and a Director since 2018.

Jacobson coached Aquinas to their first national appearance in 2019 and has coached multiple All-Conference and All-American athletes. Amy introduced STUNT to Aquinas in 2018 and has also expanded the program to include separate Game Day and Competitive teams.
