Taylor Kidd

Taylor Kidd was named the next head coach of the Cheer and STUNT programs in July 2023. Kidd, a native of Walled Lake, Mich., will be taking on her first collegiate coaching job after spending last season as an assistant coach with the Saints.

Kidd has already made an impact on the floor as a former student-athlete at Concordia. She was valuable member to the Cardinals' 2019 NAIA National Championship squad and was a three-time All-Conference selection — First Team in 2020 and 2019, Second Team in 2018 — during her collegiate athletic career from 2016-20.

While competing at a high level, Kidd was also a staff member for Cheer! Michigan, which specialized in training kids at all levels from beginners to hosting cheer camps for high school students.

Last season, the AQ cheer program achieved its highest-ever conference placing with a runner-up finish at the WHAC Championships to Kidd's alma mater, Concordia. The Saints also placed second at the NCA Nationals, competing in the NAIA Small Coed Division, in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was the program's fifth appearance at the NCA Nationals.

The emerging STUNT team picked up the program's first victory this past April with a 10-0 shutout win against Olivet.

The Aquinas cheer program will embarked on its eighth season as an NAIA competitive team this upcoming school year while the STUNT team enters its third competitive season.
