Amelia Thurm brings both competitive experience and leadership to the Aquinas Dance Team. A WHAC All-Conference performer, Thurm earned Second Team honors in 2024 and was named All-Academic in 2025. She has been part of multiple nationally recognized routines, including a WHAC Championship squad and a first-place regional finish in 2024, along with back-to-back top-10 finishes at NAIA Nationals (10th in 2024, 9th in 2025). On the NDA stage, she helped AQ earn runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025, including a second-place Jazz Routine and third-place Team Routine in 2025.

With 17 years of dance experience, Thurm trained at Modern Messages Dance Company, where she competed on the senior team, served as a team captain, and participated in eight productions. She chose Aquinas to continue dancing competitively while pursuing a strong academic path in Elementary Education. Inspired by the passion of the coaches and team, she knew AQ was the right place to chase her goals.

She defines success at Aquinas as being supported by faculty, coaches, teammates, and friends while striving to achieve her goals. Fun fact: her birthday is on Halloween.
