Biography
Ava Koester enters her senior year with Aquinas Dance bringing creativity, performance experience and an accomplished championship résumé to the Saints. A Communication major with minors in Studio Art and Theology, Koester earned All-Academic recognition in both 2025 and 2026. After helping AQ finish as WHAC All-Conference runner-up and 10th at NAIA Nationals in 2025, she was part of the Saints' WHAC All-Conference championship and competitive dance regular-season co-championship teams in 2026. Koester also helped Aquinas advance as a finalist in the NDA Team Routine and finish 11th at the 2026 NAIA National Championships. Her performance background includes 10 years of musical theater and ballet training at Reverence Dance Academy. Koester chose Aquinas because of its strong sense of community and defines success through continuing to do what she loves alongside supportive teammates while reaching her academic goals. Away from dance, she has backpacked through Europe.
