Biography
Grant, Mich. | Communication Major | Studio Art & Theology Minors
Ava Koester contributes creativity and enthusiasm to the Aquinas Dance Team. She was named All-Academic in 2025 and was part of the 2025 WHAC All-Conference Runner-Up team. Koester helped the Saints earn a 10th-place finish at NAIA Nationals and secure second place in the NDA Jazz Routine and third place in the NDA Team Routine in 2025.
Her love for performance began with 10 years of musical theater in her community and school, and she later trained in ballet at Reverence Dance Academy. Koester chose Aquinas because of the strong sense of community and the relationships that have helped her grow both personally and academically.
She views her time at AQ as successful when she continues doing what she loves — dancing alongside supportive teammates — while achieving her academic goals. Outside of dance, she has backpacked through Europe.
