Aquinas College

Freshman Sydney Rhoton begins her collegiate softball career while pursuing a degree in Clinical Exercise Science. A native of Midland, Michigan, and graduate of Midland High School, Rhoton arrives at Aquinas with an accomplished high school résumé and a passion for competition.

Rhoton earned First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Area and Saginaw Valley League All-Academic honors while helping her program capture four district championships, a regional championship and an SVL North title. She has played softball for 12 years, including nine years of travel competition and three varsity seasons, while also competing in volleyball.

Sydney chose Aquinas because of its welcoming culture and supportive environment. She looks forward to meeting new people while succeeding both in the classroom and on the softball field. She defines success as making the most of every opportunity and giving her best effort each day.

Away from softball, Sydney enjoys playing pickleball and proudly notes that she is the only redhead in her family.
