Biography
Bonfils "Bon Mate" Matenga brings a faith-centered approach to his senior year with Aquinas Cross Country. An East Kentwood High School graduate, Matenga is pursuing Secondary Education in Mathematics along with Philosophy and Theology studies. He competed in cross country for three years in high school before joining the Saints and continues to view his collegiate journey through the lens of his faith. Guided by Romans 12:2, Matenga defines success as appreciating the small moments while continuing to grow academically, athletically and personally. Away from running and his studies, he enjoys gospel, praise and worship music.
