Eoghan Burns
East Grand Rapids, Michigan, native Eoghan Burns is a sophomore studying Health Science and Clinical Exercise Science at Aquinas. A 2024 graduate of East Grand Rapids High School, he was recognized as his team’s Most Improved Cross Country Runner in 2022 and helped the Pioneers to numerous championships, including the 2022 MHSAA Division 2 State Title and the 2023 OK White Conference co-championship. Burns, who swam competitively with EGRA Waves before focusing on running, was also part of East Grand Rapids’ third-place finish at the 2023 state meet. At Aquinas, he contributed to the Saints’ 2024 WHAC Cross Country Championship team. He chose AQ for its beautiful campus and supportive coaching staff. Outside of competition, Burns admits a quirky fear: sleeping on a pull-out couch in case it shuts unexpectedly.
