Biography

Senior Katie Carlson enters her final season with the Saints while pursuing degrees in secondary education and mathematics. A two-time WHAC All-Academic selection and WHAC Second Team All-Conference honoree, Carlson has been a key contributor to one of the WHAC's premier softball programs.

Before arriving at Aquinas, Carlson enjoyed an outstanding career at Holland High School, where she earned All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, All-State Honorable Mention and Academic All-State honors. She was also named Team MVP, Team Captain and OK Green Athlete of the Year while helping lead her team to the 2023 OK Green Conference Championship. In addition to softball, she competed in volleyball and basketball and played travel softball with Lake Effect.

Carlson chose Aquinas because of its beautiful campus and close-knit community, valuing the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with professors, coaches and teammates. She defines success by making a positive impact both in athletics and in the classroom.

Away from softball, Katie enjoys calligraphy and hand lettering. She also coaches at Jenison High School and with a 14U travel softball team and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
