Aquinas College

Samuel Whitmore brings extensive collegiate and multi-sport experience to Aquinas Men's Rugby after beginning his college career at Concordia University Ann Arbor. A Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing, Whitmore has played rugby for 11 years and has earned All-Conference recognition during his career. Since joining Aquinas, he has been named the Men's Rugby Best Forward in 15s and earned 7s MVP honors in 2024–25 while also competing at the All-Star level. Before focusing on rugby, Whitmore played two years of college football and competed in basketball, football, rugby and volleyball at Sparta High School. After Concordia closed, he chose Aquinas because of his familiarity with the College, friendships with former classmates who became Saints and the fact that AQ had recruited him out of high school. Whitmore defines success as earning his degree and building lifelong friendships. Away from rugby, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, boating and country music, with Hudson Westbrook among his favorite artists.
