Isabella Asai brings championship experience and leadership to the Saints. A 2023 All-State Honorable Mention selection, she earned three All-District and three All-Region honors while also being named MCCAA All-Conference and an NJCAA Academic All-American. She served as a team captain at OCC and helped her team to a regional tournament appearance.

A four-year varsity athlete in basketball, volleyball, and softball, Asai was a two-time regional champion in basketball and a multi-year captain in both basketball and softball. She also played travel softball and spent her freshman year as a starter before transferring to OCC, where she again stepped into a leadership role.

Asai chose Aquinas for its strong Catholic atmosphere and competitive culture. She defines success as earning her degree without regrets. Outside of athletics, she enjoys reading and painting. Fun fact: she is half Japanese — and she can’t ride a bike.
