Leigha Morse joined the Aquinas College softball coaching staff in the fall of 2021 after finishing her playing career in the spring of 2021. Morse helped lead the Saints to two conference championship teams, while also being a two-time all-conference player with her primary positions being catcher and first base. She finished in the program in the top ten for for the statistical categories of career slugging percentage, career on-base plus slugging percentage, and career home runs.
Before coming to Aquinas, Morse started her softball career at Wayland Union High School where she set and still holds the Division II state record for most home runs in a state finals game. She was an all-state performer for two years and was selected to the all-conference, all-region, and all-district teams for three years.Â
Morse graduated with business administration and developmental psychology degrees from Aquinas in May 2021. She is also currently coaching a 14u Elite team and works at Godwin Plumbing as a design consultant.Â
