Aquinas College

Freshman Emily McCarty begins her collegiate career with the Aquinas Cheer & STUNT program after graduating from Lee High School. She plans to major in Political Science with a minor in Theatre while bringing a well-rounded athletic background and a passion for community involvement to the Saints.

McCarty earned Most Valuable Player honors in both sideline cheer and competitive cheer during high school. Before transitioning to cheer, she spent seven years dancing and also competed in basketball and soccer, giving her valuable experience across multiple sports.

Emily chose Aquinas because of its beautiful campus and the positive impact Aquinas alumni have had on her life. She believes success means earning her degree while becoming actively involved within both the campus and surrounding communities. Away from athletics, Emily enjoys watching cartoons and drawing her favorite characters in her sketchbook.
