Biography
Ella Koons
Brighton, Michigan, native Ella Koons is a junior at Aquinas, majoring in Clinical Exercise Science. A 2023 graduate of Howell High School, Koons has been running for nine years and has been a varsity member of the Saints program throughout her time at AQ. She earned the WHAC Champion of Character award in 2024 and was also named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for cross country. Koons helped lead the Saints to the 2024 NAIA National Championships, adding to her impressive list of experiences. She chose Aquinas for the sense of peace she felt on her first campus visit and is grateful for the opportunities the program has provided, including traveling to national races. Koons enjoys water skiing, swimming, basketball, painting, drawing, and also plays the trumpet.
