Freshman (2017)

• Ran to a 42nd-place finish in a time of 20:30 to help the Saints win their 4th straight WHAC Championships at Riverside Park  • Finished 122nd with a time of 20:56 in the 5,000-meter event at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge (Oct. 21) at Riverside Park •  Placed 78th out of 188 at the MCC Jayhawk Invitational (Oct. 13), crossing the finish line in 20:40•  Placed 89th out of 203 at the Bethel College Invitational (Oct. 6), crossing the finish line in 20:39 • Made her Aquinas debut at the 5,000-meter Calvin Knight Invitational (Sept. 9), crossing 76th in 20:09

High School: Ran Cross Country all four years for the Bears of Wyandotte Roosevelt and was prepped throughout high school by Dave Lustig, Michaela Frost, and Jordon Thackery. Earned all-area and all-league honors for the past two years and made the News Herald team for the past three. She ran her personal best time at the Portage Invite with a time of 19:57. She also finished up her last two seasons by running at MIT for the state meet.

Personal: Daughter of Shelley and Steve Kanack and sister to Jenna and Joshua Kanack. She’ll be majoring in nursing with the hope to work in the Emergency Room or on a Psych Unit one day. She enjoys learning about fitness, going for runs/walks, watching youtube documentaries about psychology, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
