Chance Fry

Chance Fry serves as the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Aquinas College, returning to his alma mater to lead the programs he once represented as a student-athlete.

Fry competed for the Saints men's golf program during his four years at Aquinas and helped AQ consistently compete near the top of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. During his collegiate career, the Saints posted multiple strong conference finishes, including a third-place showing at the 2021 WHAC Fall Preview.

Prior to taking over the Aquinas programs, Fry gained coaching experience as an assistant high school golf coach and as a head coach with First Tee of West Michigan. His professional background also includes serving as a Retail Golf Sales Lead with Dick's Sporting Goods and experience with the Utah Jazz organization.

Before his collegiate career, Fry was a two-time all-conference golfer and two-time state finalist during his high school career. He was part of three conference championship teams and was twice named Player of the Year on the Mizuno Lake Michigan Junior Golf Tour, earning the honor in 2012 and 2015.

An Aquinas graduate, Fry's familiarity with the College and his own experience as a Saints student-athlete played a major role in his desire to return to AQ as a head coach. His vision is to develop both Aquinas golf programs into consistent contenders within the WHAC while providing today's Saints with the same type of meaningful student-athlete experience he enjoyed during his four years at the College.

Fry currently resides in Spring Lake and plans to relocate to Grand Rapids. Away from coaching and the golf course, he enjoys basketball, pickleball and tennis, spending time with family, and following Detroit professional sports and the University of Michigan.
