Biography
Kayla Herrer (Kay-la Hair-er)
Kayla Herrer, from Caledonia, Michigan, joins Aquinas College as a Biology major and an exciting new addition to the Saints women’s rugby program. A graduate of South Christian High School (Class of 2025), Kayla helped her former team qualify for the Elite Club Nationals Tournament, an experience that sparked her passion for the sport. Though new to rugby, she brings a decade of competitive soccer experience and a fearless approach to learning and improving. “Aquinas gave me opportunities that no one else did,” she said. “I’m most excited to see how I grow as an athlete and individual here.” Off the field, Kayla loves traveling, trying new things, and sharing life with her twin sibling. Originally from Zimbabwe, she began playing rugby during the second semester of her senior year and hasn’t looked back since.
