Riley Vertz
Riley Vertz, from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, is a Kinesiology major and one of the most decorated young athletes joining the Saints this season. Recognized as Wisconsin’s No. 1 Flag Football Player by the Maxwell Football Club, Vertz brings a championship pedigree to Aquinas. She helped her team win back-to-back state titles in 7s rugby (2023–24), added a second-place finish in 2025, and placed third in 15s in 2021. Her team also claimed four consecutive Ruggerfest titles, solidifying her as a proven winner. A four-year varsity rugby player, Vertz also competed in flag football and represented the Badger Select Team for rugby. “I chose Aquinas not because I wanted to get away from home, but because I wanted a new experience,” she said. “As much as I tried to convince myself, I knew I wasn’t done with rugby yet.” Known for her relentless effort, Riley prides herself on never giving up—on the field or in the classroom. Off the pitch, she enjoys dogs, hunting, and wakeboarding.
