Biography
Amelia McGee joins Aquinas following an outstanding high school swimming career at Ionia High School. A three-time All-State performer in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 200 freestyle, McGee also earned All-Conference, Academic All-State, Academic All-Conference, and the Rick Edwards Award. She has spent 11 years competing in swimming while also participating in tennis and soccer and training with EGRA and RAYS.
McGee chose Aquinas because it immediately felt like home during her campus visit. She defines success by putting academics first, building meaningful friendships, and strengthening her relationship with God while continuing to compete in the pool.
Away from swimming, she enjoys hiking, traveling, attending concerts, and creating nail art. She also proudly notes she has never lived on a paved road.
