Gunnar Peery enters his second season as head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs for the 2023-24 season.
In his first season, the men's team finished with a 7-7 overall record (3-3 WHAC) while the women's team finished with a 3-10 record (1-5 WHAC). Both programs bowed out in the quarterfinals of the WHAC Tournament.
Peery has coached one All-WHAC Second Team selection, a CSC All-America Second Team honoree and one WHAC Player of the Week. In the classroom, six Saints have earned WHAC All-Academic Team status. The men's tennis team also had the highest team GPA at Aquinas College for the 2022-23 academic year.
Peery was named the men's tennis 2022-23 WHAC Champions of Character Coach.
Prior to taking over as head coach of both tennis programs, Peery played for the Aquinas men's tennis team from 2014-17. Peery was named a 2017 All-WHAC First Team doubles player. He was also a two-time WHAC Champions of Character Team selection from Aquinas in 2015 and 2017.
