Alyssa Exline

  • Title
    Assistant Coach W. Hockey

Alyssa Exline serves as an assistant coach for the Aquinas women’s hockey program. A proud Aquinas alumna from the Class of 2025, Exline earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Sports Management with a minor in Communications and a concentration in Marketing. That academic background—paired with her on-ice experience—gives her a well-rounded lens for player development, program operations, and clear communication with student-athletes and families.

Before stepping behind the bench, Exline competed for the Saints as a member of the women’s hockey team. The transition from player to coach allows her to relate directly to the day-to-day rhythm of an Aquinas student-athlete—from practice demands and film study to academics and team culture. She brings that firsthand perspective into each practice, emphasizing fundamentals, situational awareness, and consistent habits that translate into game-day confidence.

Exline chose to continue her journey at Aquinas because she is passionate about growing and improving the women’s hockey program. She is committed to helping build a positive, competitive environment where athletes develop both on and off the ice. Her approach centers on accountability, communication, and a team-first mindset—core values that align with Aquinas’s mission and the broader goals of Saints Athletics.

Away from the rink, Exline resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She enjoys camping and weightlifting—interests that reflect her love of the outdoors and a disciplined approach to health and fitness. Those passions inform her coaching style as well: energetic, organized, and grounded in long-term development.
