Damon Bouwkamp was named the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Aquinas College in 2025. A proud Saint, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Sport Management from Aquinas in 2000.
Bouwkamp brings a wide range of leadership and athletic experience back to Aquinas. He most recently served as Manager of Volunteer Services at Kids’ Food Basket, while also holding the role of Athletic Director at Holy Spirit School. Earlier in his career, he led the Aquinas College Admissions Office as Director of Admissions and previously worked as Sports Information Director for Saints Athletics. His background also includes time as a Communications Assistant with Major League Soccer and as a long-time athletics announcer for Aquinas events. In addition, he continues to serve his community as a board member for the Northview Schools Educational Foundation and Northview Little League.
His contributions have been recognized with honors such as being named Aquinas Alumni Board Member of the Year. Outside of his professional career, Bouwkamp enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting national parks, bicycling, traveling, reading, and cheering on Aquinas athletics. He is also active as a youth coach for his children’s teams.
Bouwkamp and his wife, Vicki, live in Belmont with their twin sons, Ethan and Sawyer. For him, Aquinas has always felt like home since arriving on campus as a freshman in 1996, and he is excited to continue serving the Saints community in this leadership role.
