Matt Denhartigh

Matt Denhartigh was named the head coach of the Aquinas College men’s and women’s golf programs in 2025. A proud alumnus of Aquinas, Denhartigh earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration after first completing an Associate of Arts degree at Grand Rapids Community College. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Management at Aquinas.

As a collegiate athlete, Denhartigh competed in golf for six seasons across GRCC and AQ, earning the 2022 Conference Golfer of the Year honor and Academic All-Conference recognition in both 2024 and 2025. He was also a two-sport athlete at Aquinas, receiving 2nd Team All-Conference honors as a defenseman with the AQ hockey program.

Matt brings a dynamic energy and deep understanding of what it means to be a student-athlete at Aquinas. Originally from Jenison, Michigan, he is engaged to Casie Clarey and is the son of Mark and Michelle Denhartigh, with two siblings, McCoy and Morgan. Outside of coaching, he enjoys golf, hockey, hunting, and fishing.
