Brandon Rozema joined the Aquinas College Athletic Department in the spring of 2024 and currently serves as the Head Coach of the AQ Men’s Hockey ACHA Division I program, while also overseeing operations as the General Manager of the Saints’ ACHA Division III program. Rozema became the fourth head coach in the history of Aquinas men’s hockey, taking over the program following one of the most decorated playing careers in school history.

A four-year standout for the Saints, Rozema concluded his Aquinas playing career as the program’s all-time leader in points, goals, assists, and games played. He served as team captain during his final two seasons after spending the previous year as an alternate captain. His accomplishments on the ice earned him All-WHAC recognition twice, receiving honors in both 2019 and 2024.

Hockey has been a lifelong passion for Rozema, who first laced up his skates at the age of four. Prior to arriving at Aquinas, he was a two-time All-State selection at Grandville High School before continuing his career with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the NA3HL. During his time in Evansville, Rozema became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and served as team captain for two seasons.

Following his historic collegiate career, Rozema transitioned seamlessly behind the bench, bringing with him a deep understanding of the program’s culture and tradition. As head coach, he is committed to continuing the standard of excellence established by Saints hockey while developing student-athletes both on and off the ice.

Rozema earned his Master of Management degree from Aquinas College in May of 2024. He resides in Grand Rapids with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Hayden.
