Women's Hockey Falls to MSU 8-0

Box Score The women's hockey team hosted Michigan State University tonight at Southside Ice Arena in its 2019-20 home opener, but fell to a talented Spartan squad 8-0. The loss drops the Saints' record to 2-7 on the season. Michigan State improves to 6-1 on the year.

The Saints' battled tough throughout the game, but were not able to match the Spartans' firepower. Michigan State outshot the Saints 73-13 on the night. The Spartans raced out to a 4-0 lead after the first period before adding a pair of goals in both the second and third period. Goaltender Ally Kennedy was once again strong in net for the Saints, making 65 saves on the night.

Aquinas is back in action next week, with road games Friday against Davenport on November 15th and Sunday, November 17th in a rematch with Michigan State.
