Box Score The women's hockey team dropped the puck on a brand new season last night, taking on Grand Valley State in the GVSU Showcase at Georgetown Ice Arena. The Saints were unable to overcome their hosts in a hard-fought game, falling 1-0 to the Lakers. The 0-1 Saints return to the ice for a pair of games today to conclude the GVSU Showcase.

The Saints and Lakers played two tough periods of scoreless hockey and headed into the third period tied 0-0. It looked as though the two teams may need extra time to decide things, but the Lakers scored with just 1:34 left in the game to go ahead 1-0 and eventually take the game. 

Aquinas is back in action today at 1:30 pm against Concordia (MI) and at 7:00 pm against Midland University.
