Box Score The men's hockey team claimed its 6th straight win with a commanding 7-2 victory over WHAC foe Rochester on the road last night. The Saints are now 19-12 overall and 9-8 in WHAC play, good for third place.
Seven different Saints found the back of the net on the night, with
Alex Klekotka, Sam Lechel,
Mike Curran,
Nick Long,
Ryan Wolfe,
Kyle Truax and
Russell Shengulette all scoring. Lechel, who joined the Saints at semester, scored for the second-straight game after recording his first career goal as a Saints the game prior against Cleary.
Shengulette added three assists to lead the Saints on the night.
Nick Long and
Kyle Truax each had two, giving the Saints a trio of players with three-point games. Klekotka, Curran,
Mason Stewart and
Greg McQuade all added an assist on the night. It was the second three-assist game for Shengulette this season and third game of four-plus points. Truax posted three points for the Saints for the second-straight game.
Nick Ottenbacher made 15 saves on the night for the Saints, who led 2-0 after the first and 4-2 after the second before putting the game away with three third-period goals.
