Head coach Angelica Gero and the women's lacrosse team have announced the signing of McKenna Burke. She recently signed her Letter of Intent and will join the Saints in fall of 2020. 

Burke hails from Lansing, Michigan and preps at Grand Ledge High School. She is a four-time All-Academic selection and was part of a Grand Ledge team that was awarded Academic All-State. Last season, she ranked among the leaders for goals, assists and points in the Lansing area. Burke is entering her third-year as a varsity player for Grand Ledge and was a team captain in both her sophomore and junior seasons. She also played three years of varsity basketball and was a two-time captain. Burke plays her travel lacrosse for MI Elite. 

Mckenna is going to be a really great addition on low attack. She is a strong & smart player with a great attitude, and I am confident that she's going to continue to grow a lot throughout her college career. 

"When looking at colleges and being recruited by schools it was always a big deal for me to feel like I was at home," said Burke. "When I first stepped on Aquinas's campus and met the team and coaches, I instantly felt that connection! I'm so excited to be spending the next four years at Aquinas and can't wait to see what experiences come from this opportunity!" She will study Physically and Otherwise Health-Impaired Education (POHI) at Aquinas College.
