Head coach
Angelica Gero and the women's lacrosse program have added another piece to the recruiting class for 2020, signing local product Brianna Trepins.
Trepins comes to Aquinas from just down the road in Wyoming, Michigan and attends Grandville High School. There, she is a four-year varsity starter for lacrosse, while playing volleyball her freshman and sophomore years, running cross country as a senior, and captaining the girls powerlifting team her junior and senior years.
On the lacrosse field, Trepins helped the Bulldogs to a Regional Finals appearance and promotion to OK Conference Tier 2. Individually, she was named her teams' "Best Defender" as a sophomore and was a captin her junior and senior seasons.
Coach Gero said, "Both Geri (assistant Coach
Geri Merrell) & I have had the opportunity to work with Bri for over a year now through our clinics, and our club team. Bri has so much passion for the sport of lacrosse and for being part of a team, and she brings that energy into everything she does. She's a versatile player and I'm looking very forward to seeing her play a great role for us throughout her career!"
Said Trepins, "I chose Aquinas because I felt that they were gonna be the school that cared the most about me. For academics and for lacrosse I felt this school was gonna help me reach my goals in both." She will study Pre-Dental at Aquinas College.
