Griffin Hotchkiss Signs With Men's Lacrosse

The men's lacrosse team added another talented member to its 2020 recruiting class today, receiving a Letter of Intent from Griffin Hotchkiss to join the Saints in fall of 2020.

Hotchkiss comes to Aquinas from East Lansing, Michigan, and he attends Lansing Catholic Central High School. A well-rounded athlete, Hotchkiss also plays football and basketball. A three-year varsity footballl player, he was an All-Conference Honorable Mention performer at tight end for a Cougar team that won the Division 5 State Championship this past fall. Hotchkiss had a 17-yard fumble return for a touchdown and an 89-yard touchdown catch in the Cougar win in the State Semi-Finals.

On the lacrosse field, Hotchkiss is a four-yeaer varsity player who has earned All-Area and Academic All-State honors. "Griffin is a great athlete who can be a problem for opposing defenses," said head coach Doug Seites. "He's a big, strong dodger who can shoot on the run or in step-down situations. He's a guy who can win his matchup anywhere on the field, and can play midfield or attack for us. We love his multi-sport background and that he knows what it takes to be a winner. He's a strong student too and we know he's going to make a big impact here at AQ."

"I am excited to further my lacrosse career and be a part of a great program," said Hotchkiss. "What made me choose Aquinas was the small campus setting, the academic environment and getting to play lacrosse with a great group of guys and great coaching staff."
