Cade Linnemeyer Signs With Men's Lacrosse

Head Coach Doug Seites and the men's lacrosse team have added another offensive weapon to the 2020 recruiting class with the addition of Cade Linnemeyer of Chicago, Illinois.

Linnemeyer attended Disney Magnet II High School. There, along with lacrosse, he was a two-year starter on the varsity basketball team and was a two-year varsity soccer player and team captain as a goalie. On the lacrosse field, Linnemeyer led the team in scoring during his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. As a junior, Cade scored 42 goals and added 20 assists for 62 points. He earned Honorable-Mention All-Conference honors a sophomore and was 1st-Team All-Conference as a junior. Cade played his travel lacrosse as a member of Team Illinois and East Ave Lacrosse, and also with East Ave's Box lacrosse team, Beast Ave. Recently, Linnemeyer was invited to the Team USA U20 Box Lacrosse National Team tryouts.

"Cade is a very athletic and talented offensive player who could play either attack or midfield," said head coach Doug Seites. "He has a great combination of size (6-4, 175) and athleticism that he can use to be a finisher inside or as a threat on the perimeter. With a variety of different moves and dodges, Cade is a tough-cover in the open field and for defensive midfielders and can be a real playmaker. He has played a lot of high-level lacrosse with East Ave and with their box team as well and the sky is the limit for what Cade can accomplish on the field. He's going to be a great fit with the guys on the team with his energy and we are excited to have him join the family this fall."

When asked why he picked Aquinas, Cade said, "With the combination of great academics, a beautiful campus, and high-level lacrosse, what's not to love!" He will study Sociology/Criminology at Aquinas College.
