Aquinas head baseball coach Chris LaMange has announced another recruit to his growing signing class, as Marshal Acosta will join the Saints this fall. From Zeeland, Michigan, Acosta prepped at Zeeland West High School and will be a part of the 2021 AQ baseball team.
 
A right-handed pitcher and outfielder at Zeeland West, Acosta was named a Grand Rapids Area League all-star during fall ball competition. The dual-sport athlete was also a three-year varsity starter on Zeeland West's soccer team.
 
"Marshal is going to be an excellent addition to our pitching staff, plus he brings the ability to play in the outfield as well," LaMange commented. "He has shown tremendous excitement and desire to join our program at AQ and we are excited to add him to our squad. We are looking forward to watching his continued development once he steps on campus this fall."
 
Acosta plans to major in sports management at Aquinas. He said of his decision to come to AQ, "I'm excited to make an impact on and off the baseball field at Aquinas College."
