The women's lacrosse team is excited to announce that they have signed Stella Bottum to their 2022 recruiting class. Bottum comes to the Saints from Alto, Michigan after she attended Caledonia High School. 

When asked about signing Bottum, women's lacrosse head coach Angelico Gero said "I am very excited to bring Stella aboard! This is a fun time for our program and I foresee Stella not just fitting in, but being ready to make an impact upon her arrival. Over the last couple years her work ethic and versatility have become very clear, and I can't ask for much more than that combination in any of my student-athletes."

Going into her final season of high school lacrosse, Bottum looks to continue impressing. During her junior year campaign, she lead the Fighting Scots in both goals and assists. She also had a 92% draw control overall her junior year, which beat the previous school record by over 40%. During her freshman season she helped her team secure the OK Conference Championship. Aside from playing on Caledonia's varsity team since freshman year she has played for Pure Advantage Lacrosse Club for nearly seven years. 

Bottum plans to study pre-pharmaceutical once she arrives at Aquinas. When asked why she chose to be a Saint, Bottum answered, "I felt as if it was the best overall fit for me. I believe I'll excel at lacrosse here and I'm am most excited to play with Cierra Davis and learn from her. Academically, I look forward to learning about something I'm passionate about."
