The Aquinas men's tennis team recorded a 7-0 decision on Friday afternoon (Mar. 12) over Lourdes at the MVP Sportsplex in Grand Rapids. AQ won both doubles matches and all five singles matches that were completed on Friday, as the Gray Wolves were forced to withdraw in a pair of matchups.
 
In just Aquinas' third match of the year, the Saints won every contest between the two schools. AQ is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in WHAC action, while Lourdes drops to 1-4 on the year and 0-3 in conference play.
 
Max Goldbeck-Lowe and Joel Hancox won handedly at #1 singles (6-1), while the #2 doubles team of Mariano Arroyo and Brandon McEachern was victorious by the same score. 
 
Goldbeck-Lowe earned a hard-fought 6-3, 7-5 win at #1 singles and Hancox topped his opponent at #2 singles, 6-1 and 6-0. Nicholas Klak won easily at #3 singles, 6-0 and 6-1. Jackson VanBergen tacked on a 6-3, 6-0 victory at #4 singles, while Michael Ha won 6-2 and 6-3 at #5 singles.
 
AQ won by default at #3 doubles and #6 singles, as Lourdes was unable to fill those matches.
 
The Saints compete again next Friday (Mar. 19) against Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Ind.
