The Aquinas men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision in Fort Wayne on Friday (Mar. 19), falling to (RV) Indiana Tech at Wildwood Racquet Club. With the result, AQ is now 1-3 on the year and 1-2 in WHAC play, while the Warriors improve to 6-1 overall.
Aquinas was competitive in all three doubles contests, as the pairings of
Max Goldbeck-Lowe and
Joel Hancox (#1 doubles),
Simon Uhlen and
Nicholas Klak (#2 doubles), and
Mariano Arroyo and
Brandon McEachern (#3 doubles) all fell 6-4 in their matchups.
AQ's win came at #3 singles, as Uhlen defeated his Indiana Tech counterpart by scores of 6-7, 6-2, and 7-6.
The Saints are back in action next Sunday (Mar. 28) at the MVP Sportsplex, when AQ hosts Lawrence Tech at 10:00 a.m.
