The Aquinas women's tennis team fell to (RV) Indiana Tech on Friday (Mar. 19) at Wildwood Racquet Club by a 6-1 decision. After the loss in Fort Wayne, AQ is 1-4 overall and 1-2 in WHAC action, as Indiana Tech moves to 9-1 on the season.
 
Aquinas' #1 doubles team of Joska Volder and Sofia Gomez nearly topped their Indiana Tech counterparts, falling in a tight 7-6 contest. The Warriors took all three doubles matchups, as Darci TerHaar and Vanessa Heylmun (#2 doubles) and Kiara Berry and Sara Forletta (#3 doubles) also fell short in their outings.
 
The Saints' victory came at #2 singles, as Gomez prevailed with a 7-6 (10-5), 6-4 win over her Warrior opponent. 
 
AQ returns to the court next Sunday (Mar. 28) at 10:00 a.m. against Lawrence Tech at MVP Sportsplex.
