Results for Olivet
East Grand Rapis, Mich. - The women's swim and dive team competed on back-to-back days this week beginning with an away matchup against Saginaw Valley, followed by a home contest against Olivet College. The Saints went 1-1 on the weekend that saw new school records and the programs second victory.

The weekend got underway on Friday against the Cardinals of Saginaw Valley.
Claire Hines got the Saints off to a hot star when she re-broke her 200-fly school record with a time of 2:24. She was closely followed by teammates
Ella Althaver and
Mary Grace Doyle in the event
Then
Maddy Critchell toppled the 400 IM school record. She did so finishing the race in 5:46.37.
Wrapping up Friday's action, the 400-freestyle relay of
Claire Hines,
Sam Casler,
Ella Althaver, and
Mary Grace Doyle set the new school record. They did so finishing with a time of 3:57.88.
The women were bested by Saginaw Valley with a final score of 199-37.
Moving over to Saturday, the Saints hosted their lone home event of the season. Here AQ was able to best the Olivet Comets behind school records and NAIA Provisional marks.
Ella Althaver got the Saints off hot with a new school record in the 1,000 freestyles. With a time of 11:49, Althaver placed second in the race and first in Aquinas history.
Mary Grace Doyle then earned an NAIA provisional mark in the 200 free. She did so placing second in the race with her time of 2:01.
School records kept marching in for the Saints when
Maddy Critchell swam the 200 Yard IM. Placing second in her race she earned the honor with a time of 2:35.
Finally,
Sam Casler doubled up on wins in the 50 and 100 Free. Casler went for a 58.89 in the 100 and 26.62 in the 50.

The Saints will be back in the pool next Saturday, October 29. The Saints will do battle against Alma at 1:00 PM.
