Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat Saturday afternoon (Oct. 29) on Senior Day to No. 19-ranked Indiana Tech. The one-goal loss has the Saints (9-7-2, 6-4-1 WHAC) eagerly waiting for tonight's result against No. 24 Madonna versus Lawrence Tech at 7 p.m. to see if they will still get a home playoff game in the quarterfinals of the WHAC Tournament starting on Saturday (Nov. 5).
If Lawrence Tech wins, then the Saints travel to Lawrence Tech for the opening round. If Lawrence Tech losses, the Saints will host Lawrence Tech the quarterfinal match.
AQ controlled its own destiny at the start of the day on Saturday, but had it ripped away when Indiana Tech freshman Douglas Appiah scored the lone goal in the 48th minute. Saints goalkeeper

Not many chances were available throughout the contest. Indiana Tech outshot AQ 13-8 (5-2 shots on target). Both teams finished with four corner kicks. Strassioto made four saves.
