Women's Swim and Dive Falls to Alma 128-73

The #14 ranked Aquinas women's swim and dive teams concluded their loaded October with an away meet against Alma College on October 29. The women were unable to keep up with Scots and fell by a score of 128-73.
 
Starting off with the 1000 Yard Freestyle, Ella Althaver placed second in the event with a time of 11:47. This time earned her a team record. Then later in the 100 fly, she snagged second place with a time of 1:04. She was joined in the event by Ryan Lozinski who finished with a time of 1:22.
 
The next highlights came from Claire Hines in the 100 and 200 free. First in the 100, she placed third with a final time of 57.77 and only two seconds behind the leader. Earlier though, she placed first in the 200 free with a time of 2:07. She earned nine points from the victory. Hines was joined by Lily Heath in the 200. Heath finished fourth with a time of 2:11 and only .62 seconds behind second.
 
Mary Grace Doyle won another race for the Saints when she did so in the 500 Free. Her time of 5:38 gave her the win and nine points.
 
Finally in the 100 Breast, the trio of Hope McGarry-Costello, Anna Benstead, and Kaitlyn Santaguida went 1-3 earning the Saints 16 points.
 
The Saints will next compete at the Don Kimble Invite from Nov. 18-20. The Invite will be hosted at the East Kentwood High School Natatorium and will be the Saints last competition of the calendar year.
